During Game 1 of the 2011 World Series, Tim McCarver Said That 'Strike' Has Five Letters. Uh, It Has Six. Here is the Tim McCarver 'Strike' Video

Casual baseball fans watching Game 1 of the 2011 World Series got a taste for the wisdom of Tim McCarver

During the Cardinals-Rangers game on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, Tim McCarver said the word "Strike" had six letters in it. Last we checked, there are six letters in strike.

To make things worse, McCarver proceeded to spell out "Strike":

"It's a five-letter word," said McCarver "S-T-R-I-K-E."

This is just sad. One of the best ways to analyze baseball is through the use of numbers. Let's just say that Tim McCarver is no Bill James.

Speaking of numbers, McCarver is working his 22nd World Series. We only need three letters to describe that: W-T-F?
