Tim Tebow has chosen John 16 33 as his eye black today for the game against Alabama.
In the past Tim Tebow has chosen John 3 16 and Phil 4 13 as well as Heb 12 1-2 last week.
Tim Tebow is a devout Christian and one of the ways he expreses that is to wear eye black with Bible passages on them.
John 16 33 from the King James Bible says:
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Florida lost the game against Alabama today and Tim Tebow was so upset that he was caught on video crying. Many of his fans feel that he needs his Bible verses now more than ever as he was so upset.

Florida lost to Alabama in this game. In one post-game interview that I saw, Tim Tebow was gracious in his remarks about the the good play of the other team and how it felt to lose a big game. In other words, he practiced what he was preaching (at least indirectly) through this choice of eye black. Am glad his actions backed up his use of the Bible verse.

Give the football world and break. The guy is a jerk. You can be a Christian without broadcasting it on your face. What is he trying to prove? It's only a matter of time before we hear about his sex scandal. Then all his fans can help him turn the other cheek. Yup, a real Christian jerk.

Bro your a jackass. Jealous that he can actually spread the word and people will look up to him. Let me know when you get off your knees from blowin your dad. FAAAAAAAAG

Bro, you're the jerk. Why do you judge him? Do you judge people on what they wear or what they look like? What does it matter if he likes to publicly show his faith? He is simply faithful and looks to his god for guidance. A preacher publically shows his faith. Do you also think preachers are jerks? He wants all his fans to know what he thinks. And because he can't speak to all his fans, he writes it on his eye black.
And WTF is this "sex scandal"? You makin sh*t up? How can you possibly know about a "sex scandal" if the public doesn't? So you know him? Then grow some balls and say your bull to his face.

come on dude give me a break. its like when your out somewheres and the old guy comes up to you and wants to start talking about god to you and preaching to you. be a christian if its your choice but leave that shit in the church. this is exactly the reason they dont say prayers in school anymore. its ones choice and should not be fed to those who dont want it to be. dont get me wrong i dont have one problem with christians and church and what they believe in just leave that where its suppose to be. okay now that all the church talk is over. i am glad florida got their ass beat. i am so sick of hearing about the overrated quire boy and his flock. i am a auburn fan through and through but i knew bama had the best team before they even played. funny how all these commentators already had florida playing the championship game before they had even played alabama. it was all wishful thinking in the eyes of these people who have this love affair with timmy boy. well being wishful dont make it so. the best team won and i am proud of that. gator boys go lose in the sugar bowl now and be content. have a nice day.

You said it should be left "where it's supposed to be". I'm assuming you are referring to a church. The Bible teaches us to "go into all the world" to spread the Gospel. Your assumption for why prayer is left out of school is incorrect. One last point: Our country was built by a group of founding fathers who centered their lives around God and prayed daily. Darker days for our country lay ahead, now that "God" and "prayer" is being stripped from our everyday lives. Trust God, and spread the word. This is a matter of eternal life or death.

Tim Tebow is not a jerk.....he is the epitome of class. I have watched this kid since he played in high school and he has never waivered in his faith, dignity and leadership. The only reason people hate is because he is not on their team. anyone of you who say crap just wish he were your quarterback. Doubt you'd be talking s&#@ if he were on your team, huh. Tim, thank you for being the perfect example of what a man should be. God bless

He maybe a Christain, but he's still a conceided cry baby !! yes he does show his faith in God. I'll give him credit for that, and he's a good halfback, but not a quarterback. If Timmy was the man he should be, he'd take losing like a man & NOT A CRY BABY !!! Boo Hoo Hoo, where's my blankie ?? I'll take my toys go home. Mommy, whine, whine, whine. Cry Cry Cry,..........

I am an Alabama fan and will be the first to admit I don't like Tebow. Do I wish he was our quarterback? No. Obviously not or we wouldn't have had our MVP McElroy during the game and would not be going to the National Championship. I knew all season we had a better team. If Tebow was the best....they would have won. As far as the bible versuses, who in here commenting is a christian and has the balls to spread the word of God? Think before you answer. If you are a christian your duty is to spread the word of God. I resepct Tebow for spreading the faith. Him wearing the bible versuses is not affecting you in any way. It's not like smoking where second hand smoke is killing you. He has the right to do that. You must not be secure in your own faith if you are allowing that to affect you. I will say though, the crying was a bit much. But, we don't know where the emotions were coming from. Was it really because they lost? Or was it moreso because it was his last game? I will say it must be tough realizing your not the best but it needed to be done to take him down a notch or two. We have to listen all season to announcers and refs favoring the Gators.....it's about time someone shut them up. To close, I'll just say Tebow appears to be a decent guy on the surface...just a little intense when it comes to football. Until someone can give examples of him not being a decent guy off the field, I can't really side with the jerk comments. BUT, don't confuse this with my passion for hating the Gators and their "We are the best" attitude. Bama has finally proven they are the best....in the SEC. Give credit where it is deserved and stop worrying about Tebow's emotions. He can get over it. Now to the National Championship.....fingers crossed Bama.

You little boys need to go back to pre-school class and suck your thumbs. I am the man and everyone knows it. I broke every SEC & FBC record known to man. Gators rule....over & over & over & over again. Now, shut up and go to your snuggle with your mom & her boyfriend.

Tim T...my comment was intelligent, yours sounded like blah ba blah ba blah blah blah. Are you still trying to say you are the best when clearly you lost. Get over it. The GATORS can't "rule" from 5th place....it's true. Stop living in the past and focus on the present. Say something that actually makes sense. Back up your words. I feel dumber for even commenting on your post. I never character bashed Tim Tebow.....I actually defended him.

Jack Miller...why would you say something like that? How do you KNOW he's out fornicating? Have you been with him? Have you seen him in a compromising position? Do you KNOW anyone who said, "I f*#^ TT" last week, year, or night?"
