Tim Tebow Showed Off A New Throwing Motion During His Pro Day Wednesday? What Did Scouts and Media Say After Watching Tim Tebow Throw?

Much of the football world focused on Tim Tebow, who showed off his new throwing motion during a pro day workout Wednesday. Dozens of scouts and more than 100 media members came out to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium to watch the new Tim Tebow throwing motion.

What Is So New About the Tim Tebow Throwing Motion?

Tim Tebow's throwing motion looked a bit different during Wednesday's workout. Some described that his throw looked more fluid and that he throws the ball closer to his shoulder. His accuracy also looked solid.

During the 2010 NFL combine, Tebow admitted to working on how he throws the football. Tebow didn't actually throw during the Combine.

Reporter Michael C. Wright tweeted about Tim Tebow's Pro Day performance and he wasn't overly impressed:

"Looks like Tebow worked out one kink and developed another. There's still a small loop & now a bit of a pause in motion. Mechanical looking."

"Told NFL GM about my thoughts on Tebow. His reply: "Michael, you're very observant. I would trust what you saw."

"@tre_faaborg Keeping it real. His pro day hasn't gone well. Sorry I won't love him 4 you."

Why did Tim Tebow Change His Throw?

NFL scouts have criticized Tebow for the way he throws, saying that his release was too low and he didn't get the ball off quickly enough.

Early reaction seems to indicate that Tebow didn't boost his NFL Draft position much at his Pro Day, but didn't hurt it either. One writer describes Tim Tebow's Pro Day performance as "a push."

Tebow changed his throwing motion in less than a month. Of course it isn't going to be perfect. Imagine what he could do in 2 years after sitting on the bench behind a veteran QB. This kid loves the game and is willing to do anything to be great. I believe that Tebow would be an excellent pick in the 3rd round for the Cleveland Browns. Tebow would be behind Jake Delhomme and learn from a QB that has been very productive and lead his team to the Super Bowl. Jake Delhomme has a 3 year contract and that would be plenty of time for Tebow to learn and develop into a starting QB in the NFL.
