Check out surf legend Gerry Lopez, the SquidForce and a hundred other talented waterman and woman: SEAPaddle NYC will start at 9:00am on Monday the 18th of August with an anticipated 100-150 participants starting the 28 mile journey near the South Street seaport at Pier 17.The paddle route will continue up the East River past the UN building into the Harlem River, then down the Hudson River, ending at Battery Park City North Cove Marina. Last year’s event drew 50 participants from as far away as Austria, England, Maui, California, Oregon, Florida and Oahu. This year a broader international presence will be included with professional surfers mixing with music personalities, actors and environmental activists.

It's a beautiful day in New York so why not walk down to the river, get some pics of the event and send them here to nowpublic.
