CHICAGO -- Backup Todd Collins replaced Jay Cutler in the second half after the Chicago Bears' starting quarterback suffered a knee injury in the first half of Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers.
Hanie, who had thrown for a total of 66 yards in his two seasons in the NFL, directed a touchdown drive in the fourth quarter that pulled the Bears within 14-7.
Now that Hanie has entered the game, the Bears won't be able to use Cutler or Collins because of the NFL's rules regarding the third quarterback.
