Reports are circulating that Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable punched assistant coach Randy Hanson in the jaw during training camp. The assault reportedly took place at the Raiders training camp headquarters at the Napa Valley Marriott. Hanson reportedly suffered a broken jaw in the incident.

A police report was filed in Napa, but didn't identify the names of the parties involved. Several sources, however, have told FanHouse that the dust-up involved Tom Cable and Randy Hanson, who serves as an assistant coach on defense. Hanson apparently refused to tell police who had assaulted him and had no interest in pressing charges.

After the fight, Raiders reportedly chanted "Cable, bumaye! Cable, bumaye!," a reference to when African boxing fans chanted "Ali, bumaye!" (Ali, kill him) during his famous 1974 Rumble in the Jungle against George Foreman.

The Tom Cable-Randy Hanson assault isn't the first time that the assistant coach has butted heads with his head coach. Last September, then-Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin suspended Randy Hanson for five days after criticizing the team's performance in a loss to the Denver Broncos.
