Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo had a movie date yesterday. No, not with Jessica Simspon. Romo treated a homeless man named "Doc" to a movie after the two had a chance encounter outside a Dallas movie theatre.

Doc was reportedly cashing in change at a Cinemark Theatre in Dallas when a stranger offered to treat him the movie. Doc politely declined, saying he had to spend the day handing out fliers. He then recognized Romo and took the star quarterback up on the offer.

Romo and Doc watched the new Paul Rudd comedy Role Models together, although the homeless man was a little shy at first.

Doc sheepishly mentioned that he hadn't showered in a few days.

"Don't worry about that," Romo said. "I'm used to locker rooms."

This wasn't Romo's only good deed this week. On Tuesday Romo and film star Will Smith made a surprise appearance at a pep rally at Lake Highlands High School in Dallas.
