Vancouver is getting ready for
the 2010 winter Olympics games.
There are many fine athletes who
will compete and the games should
be well worth watching. Since the
games are being held in Canada
I will cheer for the Canadian team
to win a lot of medals. As always
the United States, Russia and China
should do well.
Lindsey Vonn (alpine skiing) A bad training crash two days before the opening ceremonies all but ruined the 2006 Olympics for Vonn, but she enters these Games as a two-time World Cup overall champ (she's in the lead for her third consecutive title this year) and the consensus No. 1 pick for American fantasy teams -- she is entered in five events, and realistically could medal in as many as four and win as many as three (she's ranked No. 1 in the downhill, super-G and combined)

It's too bad no NP members live in Vancouver to give on the ground coverage. Maybe a member from Seattle can drive over to fill the void.
