Topps yanks Madoff cards before they hit shelves

This years Topps Allen & Ginter Baseball cards have already hit store shelves, minus the highly anticipated rookie card of fraudster Bernie Madoff.
 
Yeah, that's right!! The modern day Charlies Ponzi, responsible for bilking the "innocent" out of billions of their hard earned dollars was set to see the release of a baseball card featuring his likeness.
 
This is no joke!! The card was intended to be part of Allen & Ginter's Biggest Hoaxes, Hoodwinks and Bamboozles sub-set before the fine folks at MLB kindly requested the exclusion of said card.
 
The sub-set, Hoaxes, Hoodwinks and Bamboozles will count on criminal giants like Charles Ponzi, news-makers like the Runaway Bride and failed ventures like Cold Fusion and Enron to complete it's twenty card collection.
