Reports from VeloNews suggest that Jens Voigt suffered major but not life threatening injuries from his high-speed crash, and that he is alert and recovering.
"An examination at the University hospital in Grenoble this evening has initially given positive reports on Jens Voigt's health after the nasty crash during today's stage of Tour de France. He has incurred a fracture of the right cheekbone and a concussion. For now he is staying at the hospital for further observation."
Good news for one of the most respected riders in the pro peleton.

Good to learn that he is recovering. hope this doesn't affect his cycling. Though he hasn't won any popular race, he sure is a champion. Shame if his career ends... That crach reminded me of the crash that killed that motorola rider and olympic champ.
