Tour De France TV Schedule 2009: Will Armstrong Win Again?
Want to watch the complete coverage of the Tour de France 2009?
Versus.Com has complete TV listings and covers all the stages so that cycling fans won't miss out.
The race lasts until Wednesday July 15, but already cycling favourite Lance Armstrong has taken an early lead in the first stage.
His time was 20 mintues, 12:36 second for the first 9.6 mile stage on Saturday, the first day of the race. He started as number 18 out of the 180 riders. The weather was muggy and humid and the roads were hilly and winding; it's not going to be an easy race.
Aside from Armstrong and Astana teammate Levi Leipheimer, most of the time trial specialists and prerace favorites are riding last — hours after the two Americans.
The stage is likely to offer an early shakeout of potential title contenders. Specialists in the discipline include Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland and British rider Bradley Wiggins.

Love that race. Just to ride the Tour is a win.

Good luck to you Lance Armstrong, may you win the Tour or help one of your teammates win the race. I am glad Lance is doing this to show the French authorities up and counter all the suspicions and comments made by French authorities over the years. We wish you well Lance, hope to see you at the top on the final day in Paris.

The statement in the article that "[t]he race lasts until Wednesday July 15" is not correct.
The race concludes with Stage 21 in Paris on Sunday, July 26, 2009.
As of the finish of Stage 4, Lance Armstrong is second in the overall time standings.
Also, in reply to the posting that Lance Armstrong "is 36 and no one that old has ever won," Armstrong is actually 37 (almost 38), and the oldest person to win the Tour de France WAS 36 years old, Firmin Lambot, in 1922.

Contador was leader before Lance joined up.
Really hope Contador is given the support he deserves in taking this race down.
Having said that, in true Aussie tradition, I'm going for the underdog. I wouldn't mind an Evans/Contador/Armstrong 1-2-3:
'CARN CADEL!!!
