Trent Acid Dies: Wrestler Michael Verdi Dead at Age 29

Johnny Kashmere Has Paid Tribute to His Friend Trent Acid Who Died on June 18 2010

Trent Acid, also known by his real name of Michael Verdi, was an American professional wrestler but he was tragically found dead in his home by his mother Friday morning as reported by Wrestling Radio.

Verdi was one of independent wrestling's top performers during the early 2000s, having won dozens of championships both as a singles wrestler and as a tag team with longtime friend Johnny Kashmere.

How he died has not been released to the public, but when Johnny Kashmere heard about the death of his friend he wrote on his Facebook page:

"I cant believe i'm typing this....Trent Acid my best brother for life, has passed away. he was found at his home this morning around 9am by this mother. i have no info now and i can barely stand up, will know more soon....keep him and everyone in your prayres please this is horrible. I love you trent RIP"

He also wrote this on Twitter four hours ago:

to my best friend in the world and brother...Trent acid aka Michael Verdi RIP i love you

Trent Acid had an extensive wrestling career for someone so young, and even though he had battled some drug problems in the past, he had declared he was going to get better and make a huge wrestling comeback.

In May 2010 he was sentenced to confinement up to 23 months as well as court mandated rehab for possession of heroin. When he was arrested on April 2 he was also originally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.

On May 16 he allegedly posted this message on his Facebook page:

QUICK NOTES..SORRY BEEN AWAY FOR 7 WEEKS..GOT IN TROUBLE AGAIN GETTIN POPPED GOING TO JAPAN TO WRESTLE VIOLATING MY PAROLE..MUST GO AWAY TO REHAB FOR A WHILE TO APPEASE COURTS BUT DON'T WORRY I'M COOL CAUSE MY P.O. HOOKED ME UP W REHAB INSTEAD OF 6 MONTHS IN JAIL..HAHAHA WORKIN THE SYSTEM..WILL NOT B AROUND EXCEPT 4 A FEW SHOWS FOR MOST OF SUMMER SO I WON'T BE ON HERE,ALSO CHANGED MY # I'LL C YA LATER..TAKE CARE

Then posted this on May 23 in response to what he felt were inaccuracies in the story about his arrest and confinement:

I HATE WHEN A**HOLES WHO DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME POST DUMBASS SHIT THAT IS NOT TRUE ABOUT MY MISFORTUNES W THE LAW.I CAN'T WAIT 2 GET OFF PROBATION SO I CAN SLAP THE S**T OUT OF PEEPS WOUT GETTIN IN TROUBLE.ANYWAY,WILL B BACKSTAGE AT THE STP N ALICE IN CHAINS CONCERT MMRBACUE AT THE E CENTER HOPE 2 SEE PEEPS THERE.TAILGATE UP MOTHERF*****S THEN OFF TO REHAB..WHAT A LIFE HAHA

He had another trial scheduled for July 13 according to Indy Wrestling News.
