Former NBA Referee Troy Raymond Was Found Dead In His Hotel Room in August 12, 2011.

Former NBA referee Troy Raymond committed suicide on Friday, August 12, 2011. New Orleans Police found the body of Troy Raymond in a hotel room shortly after the body of his wife Leslie Anderson Raymond was discovered in their Houston-area home.

Troy Raymond spent one season as an NBA referee before he was fired for lying in his media guide bio. He later worked as a college basketball referee.

The CBS report suggests that Leslie Anderson Raymond may have recently asked Troy Raymond for a divorce.

"We're not prepared to tell you who's responsible," Holified said. "But certainly Mr. Raymond is a person of interest -- and his death brings about more questions than answers."
