MUSSOORIE, 27 Jan:
A Twenty-20 Cricket tournament began at the Survey Ground here, today, organised by the Mussoorie Sports Association and Uttarakhand Youth Twenty-20 Association in which more than 40 teams registered their entries.
The Chief Guest on the occasion, Mandi Samiti Parishad Chairman Billo Thapli inaugurated the tournament by tossing the coin and being introduced to the players.
In the first fixture, Nagar Palika, Mussoorie, defeated Mohd Sporting A by three runs. In the second match,  Mohd. Sporting B defeated Kempty-Bungalow ki Kandi team by one wicket.
Palika Ward member Virendar Rawat, Uttarakhand Youth Twenty-20 Cricket Association General Secretary Javed Butt, Vice President Vijay Ramola, MSA President Suresh Goyal, Surat Singh Rawat, Raafiq Ahmed, BS Negi, Ayub, Sandeep Goel, Jagjit Kukreja, Bijendar Pundir, Youth Congress President Shailendar Bisht, Sunil Panwar, Mahila Congress President Bharosi Rawat, Cantonment Board President CP Baloni, Ward Member Kamal Sharma and others were present on the occasion. The coordinators for the tournament are Salim Ahmed and Rajesh Victor.
In another tournament organised by Sunny Sports Club and Cricket Association, Mussoorie, at Green Field two matches were played. More than 24 teams are participating in this tournament which will go on for a week.
