UBC Thunderbirds edge York Lions 2-1 in CIS soccer (M) semi-final

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (2007/11/10) — The University of British Columbia (UBC) Thunderbirds defeat the York University Lions 2-1 in overtime of the national tournament semi-final of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) varsity men's soccer at Point Grey High School.

UBC Thunderbirds' 5th-year senior forward Ben Hunt scored the game winning goal in the 112th minute in overtime with a bicycle kick from inside the 18-yard box past York goalkeeper Ramon McIntosh.

The tournament host Thunderbirds advance to the championship gold medal final to match the Université Laval Rouge et Or for the gold medal.
