Uche Nwaneri: 'Tim Tebow Can't Play in the NFL'

Uche Nwaneri, an offensive lineman for the Jacksonville Jaguars, had some candid things to say about college quarterback Tim Tebow. Things could get awkward because buzz is circulating that the Jags intend to draft Tebow.
Nwaneri posted on the Jaguars' official message board, and the three-year pro didn't hold back during his judgment.
Here was Nwaneri's assessment of Tebow:
"5. He cant throw. PERIOD.
"4. He cant read any coverage other than probably cover 2 or man cov. PERIOD (the only cov. in college lol).
"3. the QB wildcat WILL NOT WORK IN THIS LEAGUE. PERIOD.
"2. He doesnt know how to take a snap from center, nor is he even comfortable enough to.
"1. HE CANT THROW. and thats really something you either have or not, never seen a qb who couldnt ever throw, just all of a sudden be able to throw just because hes now in the NFL."
Ouch. It definitely sounds like Nwaneri is trying to send a message to the Jaguars' head office, and that message is, "Don't draft Tim Tebow!". If the Jags draft Tebow, Nwaneri may have to do some serious backtracking if he wants to have a harmonious relationship with college QB.

Because you know more than a 3 year pro right?...Looks like your the moron. Tebow may very well be the best college player to completely fall off the map once he hits the NFL. The quarteback wildcat doesnt work in the NFL, ASK MIKE VICK. Mike Vick didnt gain his yards in the wildcat, he gained his yards when the play broke down and he has an uncanny ability to improvise. Not Tebow and Not Tebow. Plus, Vick is ULTRA fast. Not Tebow. Do us all a favor and hop off of Tebow's Nutz!! OVER-RATED

You can not even begin to compare throwing in the nfl and college... defenses are more complex, the holes tebow was able to throw to in college will close twice as fast and the defense will get to him much quicker. UFL is home for tebow... or the canadian league or europe maybe arena? only thing i know is the number of rednecks that would buy tickets to see the second best thing to jesus himself on the field.

Ouch Uche. First off, who is he - never heard of him? Does the knucklehead realize the Jags can't go anywhere but up? I hope the head office has something going with Tebow. Then wiseman Nwaneri will quickly figure out who's in charge. Way to paint yourself in a corner Einstein, I mean Ouch...I mean Uche.

c'mon son he's speaking the truth tebow game is great for the college game, but lets be real, he's not fast enough to do the wildcat and that leaves him w/ one choice to throw and hes not a great passer he plays a QB and was regarded as a Heisman winning QB because at that position he RAN for 20 tds and threw for 20 he aint gonna do that in the League...and Uche is a Nigerian Name, respect it or STFU

Ah, comments from another genius. You and Ouch go to the same school? When Ouch learns to show respect for an up-and-comer trying to make it to where he somehow did, then maybe I (and others) will extend him a little. I can understand being frustrated cause your team currently sucks, but go kick the dog or something - don't take it out on a possible teamate... Tebow will get a shot in the NFL. Clearly he has a lot to work on as any rookie does, and even the people who don't like him will have to watch - that includes you and Ouch (is that you Ouch?). It's amazing how the all-knowing Ouch has had to jump on the same narrow minded band wagon as many in the press have done to get some attention....typical, if youre not good at what you do, go find fault in someone else. If Tebow is as unqualified as you seem to think (which he isn't), so far his inadequacies have generated more interest and $$ in the football community than Ouch will his whole NFL career. Butts in seats. Al the rest can be taught or coached to this oustanding young man who can do nothing but good things for the NFL. I am not a Christian (in that sense of the word) but Tim is one of the few Christians who's gotten through to me in some small way with his tenacity, leadership and off-field activities. Once more - Jax needs tickets sold. Tebow can put butts in seats. If Del Rio doesn't do it I hope to hell Sparano does. You may have noticed those of us in S Fl haven't been doing all that great in the QB dept. either.

Im not even a tebow fan. But the truth is who knows who is going to be a good qb in the NFL. How many 1st round draft choices have all around sucked in the NFL. Who knows what kind of an impact a player will have on his team maybe Tebow is the spark that the jags need. all of you are stupid as hell Uche is a starting guard you the jags dickheads so learn so football before you open you mouths. and he is right about tebow he cant throw and he can read defenses. college is a different story but in the pros he will not succeed unless he changes his throwing motion. granted he will sell tickets but after his honeymoon period is over the fans will turn on him. besides gene smith isnt about the big name player he is about drafting the best available player. (and for those of you who dont know he gene smith is he is the GM of the jaguars.. thought id clear that up because clearly you all are retared!!)
