The morning of the UEFA Cup Final in Manchester with Glasgow Rangers fans gathering in Piccadilly Gardens.
Weirdly, I think Piccadilly Gardens looks better now they've covered the grass with plastic boards. When you can see the grass you're reminded how little there is; with hardly any on show you forget it's supposed to be a 'garden' at all and so it doesn't seem so bad :)

I left work at 5pm last Wednesday, had two days holiday, and only just got back today (Monday 19th), so all I saw were happy Rangers fans and police getting on fine. It's a shame small pockets of trouble flared up, but it was inevitable I guess, what with people drinking all day in the sun.
