Here Are Some UFC 131 Results and Updates
UFC 131 is taking place in Vancouver, British Columbia on June 11, 2011.

Like many recent UFC events, UFC 131 is broken into three parts: undercards on Facebook and Spike TV with the main card on pay-per-view.

Here are early UFC 131 results:

Facebook Card

James vs Nick Ring

-Winner: Nick Ring via rear naked choke at 3:33 or the third round

Aaron Rosa vs Joey Beltran

-Winner: Joey Beltran via TKO at 1:26 of the third round due to strikes.

Jason Young vs Dustin Poirier

-Winner: Dustin Poirier via unanimous decision

Michihiro Omigawa vs Darren Elkins

-Winner: Darren Elkins via unanimous decision

Krzysztof Soszynski vs Mike Massenzio

-Winner: Krzysztof Soszynski via unanimous decision

Spike TV Card

Jesse Bongfeldt vs Chris Weidman

-Winner: Chris Weidman via first-found submission

Yves Edwards vs Sam Stout

-Winner: Sam Stout via 1st round knockout

Pay-per-view Card

Vagner Rocha vs Donald Cerrone

-Winner: Donald Cerrone via unanimous decision

Cerrone dominated throughout, pummeling Rocha in the legs.

Jon Olav Einemo vs Dave Herman

-Winner: Dave Herman by TKO at 3:18 of the second round.

An entertaining match. Herman appeared down for the count against the bigger, stronger Einemo. He managed to come back, landing enough major blows to score a TKO.

Mark Munoz vs Demian Maia

Winner: Munoz by unanimous decision

Another entertaining fight with both fighters exchanging blows. Maia showed excellent jiu jitsu skills, but Munoz, the Filipino Wrecking Machine, was named 'panalo' in a narrow decision.

Co-Main Event

Kenny Florian vs Diego Nunes

Winner: Kenny Florian by unanimous decision

Florian, a native of Massachusetts, was booed lustily by the Vancouver crowd, no doubt because of the Stanley Cup finals between the Vancouver Canucks and Boston Bruins. Florian lost a lot of weight before the fight, but it didn't seem to affect his stamina as he pulled away from Nunes in the third round.

Co-Main Event

Junior dos Santos vs Shane Carwin

Winner: Junior dos Santos by unanimous decision

Many pundits thought this main event was going to end in a first round KO. That looks to be the case early, as dos Santos laid a hellacious beating on Carwin, boodying his face. Carwin managed to hang on (barely) to finish the fight. Still, dos Santos got a well-earned unanimous decision.
