UFC fighter Justin Levens and his wife Sara McLean-Levens were found dead Wednesday in what appears to have been a murder-suicide.

Orange County police found the couple in the bedroom of Levens' Laguna Niguel home. The pair appear to have died from gunshot wounds. A gun was found on the scene and there were no indications of a struggle. Authorities describe the investigation as ongoing.

A noted light heavyweight, the 28-year-old Levens competed in the UFC, WEC, and other organizations.

In July, the California State Athletic Commission announced that Justin Levens had tested positive for the painkiller oxymorphone prior to a scheduled bout with Ray Lazama.

In a weird coincidence, one of Levens' UFC fights was against Evan Tanner, an MMA fighter who was found dead in the desert three months ago.
