UK: Online Everton Fans slam their new 'Kiddy' Club Badge
Everton's Marketing and Communications eggheads commissioned a new Club badge to replace the iconic crest that has been traditionally the club's identity, in an effort to 'modernise' their image.
The proposed badge dispensed with the laurel wreaths and Nil Satis Nisi Optimum club motto in favour of an 'infantile' Prince Rupert's Tower.
A Toffee I spoke to, an affectionate term for an Evertonian, thought that it was for the Everton juniors. How-wrong-he-was.
As a Millwall fan, I had to have a look, and was in hysterics. It was even worse than the London 2012 logo and mascot, if this could even be possible. It reminded me of a badly drawn traffic cone. It's a right stinker.
The Badge will give a lot of non Everton fans a lot of laughs for a very long time.
