"You're outta here!" That's what an umpire at a minor league baseball game told not to an angry player or manager, but to the entire crowd.

During a high school baseball game in Iowa, The home plate umpire, Don Briggs ejected the entire crowd from the game after a controversial call. During a game between West Burlington High and Winfield Mount-Union, Winfield Mount-Union's coach came out to argue a call Briggs made at the plate As the coach complained, West Burlington's coach didn't realize a timeout had been called and sent his runner from third to home.

Briggs then sent the runner back to third base. West Burlington's coach came out of the dugout to argue the play. Briggs warned both coaches and the crowd that they needed to calm down. A lone fan in the crowd reportedly yelled at Briggs, which caused him to eject the entire crowd from the game.

Briggs called the local police, while a West Burlington official called the school's superintendent. After a long discussion, they agreed to continue the game with the crowd intact, but if anyone who made a negative comment toward the umps, they could be ejected and charged with disorderly contact.

Two police officers were on hand as West Burlington ended up winning, 12-11.
