Serena Williams Press Conference US OPEN 2009 '' Iam A Intense Player I Give 200 Percent ''

US Open is wrapping up today in New York City with some exciting matches lined up: in men's singles, Roger Federer of Switzerland will face Juan Martin del Potro of Argentine, and in women's doubles - sisters Williams of USA against Cara Black and Liezel Huber of Zimbabwe and USA.

The US Open men's final has some element of intrigue to it - everyone was really expecting a Nadal-Federer final, but Juan del Potro intervened yesterday by eliminating former No.1 Rafael Nadal of Spain in the semi-finals. Getting into the US Open finals is a big deal for the 20-year-old del Potro, who is currently No.5-seeded. Del Potro made it to the semi-finals of French Open earlier this year, but lost to Roger Federer, who went on to win the French Open title. Federer, on the other hand, had a tough semi-final match against Novak Djokovic of Serbia, taking over Djokovic with an incredible between-the-legs shot that is sure to make it into tennis history books.

In women's doubles, sisters Williams will take on Cara Black and Liezel Huber, a Zimbabwian-American duo. But, Serena Williams is likely to play with a heavy heart today - during Saturday's semifinals match with Kim Clijsters, Serena had an emotional outburst over the line judge's foot fault call, swearing and yelling at the judge. She was accused of unsportsmanlike behaviour, which resulted in a one-point penalty for Williams and ultimately caused her to lose the match. Later, Serena was fined $10,000 for her behaviour. Today, many are still wondering, "what did she say?" to provoke the judge to say she was "threatened" by Serena. No wonder the transcript of Serena Williams's outburst was a hot item on the Internet all day long today. But, it seems her women's doubles eligibility was not affected, and she will indeed play later today in tandem with her sister Venus Williams. Yesterday, Serena released a statement saying "she let [her] passion and emotion get the better of [her]," but she never actually apologized for her actions. There are speculations that Serena Williams may be suspended from next year's US Open over the incident.
