Earlier US Open Story

The championship match of the US Open 2010 between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic was rain delayed Sunday and had to be postponed until Monday.

Due to the continued uncertainty of the weather forecast and to be fair to the players and not inconvenience our on-site fans any longer, we regrettably have to move the US Open Men's Singles Final and conclusion of the Women's Doubles Final to Monday, Sept. 13. The Men's Final will begin at 4 p.m. and be broadcast on CBS.

The new start time for the US Open Men's Final is 4:00 pm EST. CBS is broadcasting the match live on TV and will also be live streaming  of the Nadal vs Djokovic final on USOPEN.ORG for viewers in the United States.

This has all the makings of a classic clash, the sort of heavyweight slugfest that usually has ropes around it. Nadal owns a 14-7 edge over Djokovic in career meetings, but the Serb leads 7-3 in hard courts matches. Djokovic will no doubt come out firing in an attempt to get on top early against the top seed. That's especially critical against Nadal, who owns a staggering 107-1 record in Grand Slam matches in which he wins the first set.
