Hope Solo Said in a 2012 ESPN The Magazine Interview that the US Women's Soccer Team Was Drunk While Appearing on the Today Show After Last Year's World Cup. Here is the Video in Question

Hope Solo isn't shy. She doesn't mind posing nude for ESPN The Magazine and she doesn't mind spilling a few secrets. In an interview published in the 2012 ESPN The Magazine Body Issue, Hope Solo told a reporter that she and the members of the US Women's National Soccer Team were drunk during an appearance on NBC's Today Show.

"When we were done partying, we got out of our nice dresses, got back into our stadium coats and, at 7 a.m., with no sleep, went on the 'Today' show drunk," said Solo. "Needless to say, we looked like hell!"

It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that something like this happened. After all, the team likely needed to blow off a little steam after their Women's World Cup run and they were also obliged to make media appearances. Something like this is kind of inevitable. At least Solo was honest about it.
