Usain Bolt Receives A Giant Piece Of Berlin Wall As A Souvenir
Usain Bolt, the record-holder in both 100m and 200m races at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics in Berlin, Germany, received a memorable souvenir from the thankful Germans. Bolt will now have to take home a giant piece of Berlin Wall, measuring 12 feet tall and weighing 1.7 tons. This huge chunk of Berlin Wall was given to Bolt as a symbol for putting the limits of human ability to the test. The giant piece of the Wall has the profile of Bolt painted on it. How Bolt will transport this ginormous gift all the way to his native Jamaica remains a mystery.
Bolt, who dominated the nine-day event by shattering his 100-meter and 200-meter marks and helping Jamaica win the sprint relay, received a 12-foot (3.7 meter) high section of the wall - - decorated with his image -- at a ceremony yesterday to honor his feats.
“I will never forget Berlin,” Bolt said at the ceremony.
The 12-foot high section will be delivered to Bolt's training camp in Jamaica.
