NP Rank:
USF Vs. Cincinnati Bearcats in Tampa Florida on ESPN - Drunk Fan
This was a prime time Thursday game aired on ESPN from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Cincinnati Bearcats, ranked 8th, and USF Bulls, ranked 21nd in a game that set a record for student attendance. Game tickets, for the 300 sections were being sold online at Ticketmaster for $10 each.
The college game is quite an experience compared to a regular NFL game. The game crowd was mostly USF students and fans. There were sections that had groups of Cincinnati Bearcat fans.
One interesting observation was the back and fourth heckling between USF fans and Cincinnati Bearcat fans. Some of the shouted phrases were "go back to Ohio" and "we have beaches".
Never a dull moment in the crowd, the 317 section got to witness a USF fan vomit on the floor, not after the Bearcats went ahead by 14 points, but by consuming too much alcohol.
This game also featured the classic no-shirt drunk fan running on the field early in the 1st half.
Quickly captured by the sideline police and escorted out of the stadium.
This is usually avoided and not covered in live TV. We were able to snap several photos of the incident for this article.
The Cincinnati Bearcats won 34 to 17, but USF was in the game for the first three quarters. It was a combination of an interception for a touchdown by the Bearcats, and several key dropped passes that contributed to this loss. USF Bulls record is now 5-1.
