Utah Jazz Owner Has Legs Amputated.
Owner of the Utah Jazz Larry Miller had both of his legs amputated Friday due to complications with type 2 diabetes. The doctors amputated 6 inches below the knee on both legs. The 64 year old Miller has spent the past year in and out of hospital due to various medical issues including a heart attack last summer.
Miller bought 50% of the Utah Jazz 1985 and the remaining 50% the next year. His son Greg Miller has been selected the new CEO of the Larry H. Miller Group because of his fathers unstable health condition. This group owns the Jazz, radio and TV stations, car dealerships, movie theatres, ad media firms , sports arenas, a race track, a movie production company, ranches, a real estate company and a minor league baseball team. The Miller family has decided not to release any details other than that he is in stable condition and will be recovering over the next few weeks.

I wish Mr Miller the best and a speedy recovery. Sorry to hear of the amputations. As a type 2 diabetic diagnosed almost almost 18 years ago, I wish Mr. Miller would be willing to share what he would tell other diabetics to do to help avoid this situation. We would appreciate his feedback. Bad complications are too frequent with us diabetics. I am on insulin and oral medications too.
Sincerely,
David Shoemaker
