Sudha Krishna, thanks for getting this story out so quickly. It will now show up on the home page for four hours. If new developments justify it, I'll renew this flag for another cycle.

A second security breach has occurred at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, CTV has reported during its 300pm PST Newscast. The second security breach occurred at the medal ceremony on Sunday at BC Place. At the time the medals were being handed out police and security officials were searching for someone in BC Place who may have had a weapon.
The emergency response team scanned the crowd in the stadium after a security screener saw something suspicious. The security screener apparently saw something amiss in the scan that screens packages, purses, and back packs. But police say, the screener did not inform them until after the suspect was allowed into the stadium.
The medal ceremony continued without anyone in the stadium knowing any better. Police put together a search team, but the suspect responsible for a second security breach at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games was never found.
"This is an incident that took place. We admit it. Is it something we want to happen reoccur? Absolutely not. It's unacceptable. We're taking measures now to rectify the area that was lacking," said Cote. "It was an issue of timing and perhaps now our police officers who are supervising our partners at Contemporary Security will take more of a mentoring role."
The first reported Olympic Security Breach occurred during the Opening Ceremony when a mentally ill man got close to U.S. Vice President Joe Biden

I guess I don't understand how someone is waved in when a suspicious item is showing on their scan. It's huge chao's with public crowds but people will have to show up earlier i guess.
