  • Viktoria Rebensburg(GER): Gold Medal
  • Tina Maze(SLO): Silver Medal
  • Elisabeth Goergl(AUT): Bronze Medal

The Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Women's Giant Slalom medal event is today. Athletes will have two runs, be judged by the combined finish time. American star Lindsey Vonn has crashed out of the race, and Austria's Elisabeth Georgl took the top spot. Check out the live Twitter coverage here, courtesy of Scan.

The first run has already finished, and the second run was rescheduled for Feb. 25 at 9:30 am PST/12:30pm EST.

Now leading the race is Austria's Elisabeth Goergl, followed closely by Taina Barioz from France with only 0.02 second difference.

Kathrin Zettel and Eva-Maria Brem rank third and fourth respectively, both from Austria.

The surprise from this race was Lindsey Vonn from USA. Lindsey Vonn crashed in the first run of the Women's Giant Slalom race. Vonn was doing great before she crashed.

Another American athlete, Julia Mancuso, also did not perform as well as hoped. She had a re-run because Lindsey Vonn was still on the course when Mancuso started her run. Julia Mancuso ended with the 18th place in Women's Giant Slalom.
