Vote for the new Sixers Mascot: 76ers Fans Face Unpleasant Choice
The Philadelphia 76ers Need Your Help in Choosing a New (Crappy) Mascot
The Philadelphia 76ers: Passionate. Intense. Proud. But not graphic designers. The Sixers are looking for a new mascot, and they need their fans' help.
The good news: you get to vote for the new Sixers mascot. The bad news: you must choose between three lame options.
Your 76ers Mascot Choices:
- Big Ben (because Ben Franklin is a timeless paragon of athleticism)
- B. Franklin Dogg (with two g's, of course)
- Phil E. Moose (wait, what?)
One of the most regal animals to roam the wild, Phil E. Moose certainly fits that bill, standing tall as he represents the Sixers (he stands over seven-feet tall in fact, with the antlers). In his youth, Phil E. Moose would often be seen dunking a basketball with ease, aided by his great height. Throughout his high school, collegiate and professional games, Phil E. Moose was a scoring star, and was excited to learn he had been "traded" to the 76ers in order to entertain fans during games at the Wells Fargo Center.
We're going to stop you right there. See, there's only one anthropomorphic basketball-playing animal. His name happens to be Scott Howard.
