The Toronto Raptors are all but extinct . . . And there is really nothing better then making money off a dying dino. So I advise those with the mean to get a second or even third mortgage on their homes in an attempt to cash in.
The first round of the NBA playoffs is just underway and the Toronto Raptors already find themselves in deep trouble in their seven game series against the Orlando Magic. Down one game and the Rap’s have already been exposed for what they are, an overrated, underpowered one man team. Both the Raptors and the Magic are blessed with a real top notch young bigmen, the Raptors one man show Chris Bosh and the Magic Phenom Dwight Howard but that folks is where the similarity in this tail of the tape end. The Magic are more stable at the point guard position and are just as capable of scoring from the jumpshot as the dribble drive. Its not that the Raptors cant shoot or cant penetrate, its just that the Rap’s players are not as good at these thing as the Magic players. Shooting and Penetrating are the two most important and fundamental parts of the offensive basketball game and therefor crucial to the success of any team. I have been a long time fan of Chris Bosh, Toronto Raptors start power forward. The fanaticism began before Chris`s senior years at Georgia Tech and subsequent NIT playoff run and will extend long after his playing days are over. Chris Bosh is a great basketball player and a real class act but he`s just not as good as the stronger, more energetic throwback Dwight Howard who can tear down twenty rebound and score twenty point on an average night.
Game 1 Result: Orlando Magic 114 - Toronto Raptors 100
Game 2 goes Tuesday evening at 7:30 EST in Orlando and The Magic are -6 point favourite to again pull a rabbit out of the hat and defeat the fading Dino`s
Despite an itch to bet the magic on the money line, minus the point just to win I will only advocate a wager on the Magic to win the series -600 after winning the first game of the series at home. Teams that have won the first game at home in the first round of the NBA playoffs have an 80% success rate in closing out the series so a six dollars wager to bring back a buck is well worth the investment.
