Oklahoma basketball great Wayman Tisdale dies

Tisdale underwent treatment for his knee cancer (osteosarcoma) in 2007 and had his leg amputated in August 2008 because of bone cancer.

Aside from being a great basketball player, Tisdale was a accomplished jazz bass guitarist who debuted a CD, Power Forward in 1995.

He was elected to the College Basketball Hall of Fame this year and awarded the Legacy Tribute Award by the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame in 2002.

Tisdale was the University of Oklahoma's all-time leader in points and rebounds despite playing just three seasons.
