Many men are shy about talking about hair transplants, but not Wayne Rooney. The MUFC star has been very open about his off-season decision to get hairplugs.

A few days ago, Wayne Rooney tweeted about his plans to get a hair transplant.

Than on Monday, June 6, 2011, Wayne Rooney tweeted a photo of his new hairplugs:

"Hi all there's my head. It will take a few months to grow. Still a bit bloody to. But that's all normal."

Rooney reportedly got his hair transplant at a clinic on Harley Street. The hair plugs are believed to have cost around £12,000.

Most people (it’s a worldwide thing) don’t appreciate how difficult hair loss or balding can be for many men. Some men genuinely have great difficulties with it which leads to them trying to hide the problem with hair pieces etc rather than actually dealing with the real problem.
