Week 16 NFL Picks
Here are some Week 16 predictions. Please note that the NFL odds posted here are accurate at the time of posting, but may change.
Note: Home teams are in ALL CAPS
Indianapolis -6.5 over JACKSONVILLE
Betting against Jacksonville has become a rite of passage for football fans this season. The Colts are on a roll and the Jaguars will do nothing to slow them down.
DALLAS -4.5 over Baltimore
This could be the last game every played in Texas Stadium as the Cowboys move to a new home next year. Tony Romo's provides just enough athleticism and activity to keep the Ravens defense on its toes. Add to that, the Cowboys might be able to put some pressure on Joe Flacco. If this is the last game in Texas Stadium, the Cowboys should be able to go out in style.
CLEVELAND -2.5 over Cincinnati
Hey, who wants to watch the 30th ranked offense play the 32nd ranked offense? No one. A pick-em, so let's go with Cleveland just their defense might be the only ones on the field who will actually give a crap.
DETROIT +7.5 over New Orleans
If the Lions are going to go win a game this season this is their best opportunity and they know it. The Saints have nothing to play for, especially now that Reggie Bush is gone for the year. For the hapless Lions, this is their Super Bowl, their best chance to stay out of the history books. Dan Orlovsky, Kevin Smith and Calvin Johnson played hard last week and they have a chance against the Saints struggling defense.
San Francisco -5.5 over ST. LOUIS
Whether or not Frank Gore plays, the Niners should be able to run all over the Rams.
Houston -7.5 over OAKLAND
People are actually starting to realize that the Texans aren't a bad football team. People have known that the Raiders are horrible for a long time.
TAMPA BAY -3.5 over San Diego
Tampa has been awesome at home all season. The Chargers can't even beat the lowly Raiders.
DENVER -7.5 over Buffalo
Wow, the Bills sure did win over Toronto fans, didn't they. Another loss to the Broncos will no doubt help Torontonians forget all about the Maple Leafs.
Philadelphia -4.5 over WASHINGTON
Sure, the Eagles have been inconsistent, but they're playing the Redskins who have completely fallen apart. Clinton Portis has run out of gas and has turned on head coach Jim Zorn. Jason Campbell hasn't played as well as he did earlier in the season and the Eagles defense can sense weakness.
Pittsburgh -1.5 over TENNESSEE
Easily the game of the week. Two of the best teams in the league and as the line indicates, this will be a close one. If it comes down to momentum, take the Steelers who are coming off two big comeback wins against Dallas and Baltimore. Since peeling off 10 straight wins, the Titans played .500 ball. The Titans backfield of Chris Johnson and LenDale White are great, but they'll have a rough road against the Steelers run defense.
Miami -3.5 over KANSAS CITY
The Chiefs are coming off as demoralizing a loss as any team is likely to experience. What little spirit the Chiefs had has been summarily crushed and the Dolphins will take advantage.
NEW ENGLAND -7.5 over Arizona
The Cardinals pass defense has been awful this year, allowing a league-worst 31 touchdown passes. Matt Cassel would likely have a field day. Who would have ever thought anyone would ever say that about Matt Cassel?
MINNESOTA -3.5 over Atlanta
A battle of running backs. League-leading rusher Adrian Peterson goes up against Michael Turner, who may be Peterson's heir apparent. Of course, Turner has to go up against the Vikings defensive line as will Matt Ryan.
New York Jets -4.5 over SEATTLE
A game more for Packers fans than for Jets and Seahawks fans as Brett Favre faces Mike Holmgren, the coach that led him to Super Bowl greatness. The Jets haven't played well out west this year, but the Seahawks should provide easy fodder.
Carolina +2.5 over NEW YORK GIANTS
This should be a beauty. The Giants have lost two in a row and need to win at home. Still, the Panthers have been underrated all year and a win would put the rest of the league on notice.
CHICAGO -4.5 over Green Bay
One of football's oldest rivalries that brings back memories of Red Grange (for those of us who are about 100 years old), Mike Ditka, and Dick Butkus. Earlier in the year, the Bears got beat down on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. The Bears will be looking for revenge now that they're at home.

Home Opener in Buffalo !!!! Roscoe Parrish blows by Marcus Trufant on the way to their first victory. Bill's start 5-1, and now have the chance to be 1-9 since then............ next 2 games are Denver & New England. It's going to be a long cold winter in Buffalo
