Week 16 NFL Picks and Predictions 2010
Week 16 of the 2010 NFL Season is Here. Here are Some Week 16 NFL Picks (for entertainment purposes only). Lines given may change. Home teams are in ALL CAPS.
Thu, Dec 23
PITTSBURGH -14 over Carolina
Carolina is coming off a short week and have no passing game to speak of. Jonathan Stewart might have a nice game, but that's it.
Sat, Dec 25
ARIZONA over Dallas -6.5
Dallas has shown some grit the last couple of weeks, but being up a touchdown on the road? That may be asking too much.
Sun, Dec 26
Detroit over MIAMI -3.5
Could Detroit win two road games in a row? Why not? The Dolphins have been miserable at home this season.
Baltimore -3.5 over CLEVELAND
The Baltimore Ravens defense is getting long in the tooth, but they should be able to handle Colt McCoy.
New England -9 over BUFFALO
Hard not to like the Pats here even though the Bills are coming off a win.
JACKSONVILLE -7 over Washington
The Jaguars need a win and some luck to make the playoffs. The Skins have Rex Grossman and are a wreck according to Clinton Portis. The Jags should take it to Washington.
New York Jets over CHICAGO -1
This could be a cold, ugly game, which often works in the Jets favor. Cutler is interception prone and the Bears running game hasn't been impressive. If Sanchez can hold it together, the Jets should be fine. By the way, be prepared for plenty of signs at Soldier Field that make reference to the latest Rex Ryan rumors.
KANSAS CITY -5 over Tennessee
The Titans played well last week. Judging by Tennessee's inconsistent performance all year, they'll stink it up on the road against KC.
ST. LOUIS -1.5 over San Francisco
Do we really have to pick a team? Both are bad teams hoping to win a bad division so they can get blown out in the first round of the playoffs. The Rams seem a little more consistent and are at home so go with them.
OAKLAND over Indianapolis -3
This is shaping up to be a good game. The Colts are fighting for their lives despite all those injuries. The Raiders are no longer a laughingstock. This really comes down to what you think about the Colts. Do they still have it or are have they just lost a step and are no longer a Super Bowl-type team. These two team are surprisingly close so take the Raiders and the points.
San Diego -9 over CINCINNATI
The Chargers have come back to life. Their defense is playing well and Vincent Jackson appears to be a world-beater. Go with the Bolts.
Houston -2.5 over DENVER
Here are two teams that just don't care. Still, the Texans have more offensive weapons and the Broncos are a hot mess.
GREEN BAY over New York Giants
There doesn't seem to be a line due to the Rodgers injury. If we had to guess, go with the Packers since the Giants may not have recovered from their soul-crushing loss to the Eagles.
TAMPA BAY -6 over Seattle
When there is a quarterback controversy between Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Whitehurst, you've got a lot of problems. Go with the Bucs.
PHILADELPHIA over Minnesota
There may not be a line due to various injuries. Still the Vikings defense has been bad all year and Michael Vick is firing on all cylinders.
Mon, Dec 27
ATLANTA -2 over New Orleans
This should be a beauty. The Saints need a win and the Falcons want to make a statement. Go with the Falcons and the home field advantage.
