Wenger: Arsenal Can Still Dominate Premiership
Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger claimed that his soccer club could still dominate the Premiership. According to the Evening Standard, Wenger said that he believes that the club is missing "one or two percent" of what is needed to dominate the league.
Arsenal is currently in fourth place in the league -- 10 points behind Liverpool. The club beat Portsmouth 1-0 in its most recent game on December 28.
"[Wenger] said: 'I'm convinced that we are on the right track. We are not missing 10 per cent, we are missing one or two per cent. We can get that one or two per cent easily and then we can dominate the league.
'I'm disappointed that the team is not getting the praise or the respect it deserves at the moment, but we have to keep going. We will keep going with this spirit and we will turn people around.
'Getting that final per cent or two is down to being a bit more relaxed and composed when the situation calls for it. Looking to his New Year's resolution, Wenger added: 'My hopes and aims for 2009 are to support this team. I believe strongly in this team and if they get the support I think they will be rewarded in 2009 because they deserve it.
'They have talent and I'm sure they will be rewarded.'"

Being so far down I think we are in a dog-fight with Aston Villa for 4th place.

I've been to the Emirates Stadium many times, but never really had chance to take any decent Photos. After one of the matches I decided to stick around and get a few. I love going to see my team play, and have rarely seen them lose when i've been there which is a nice feeling :-).

These are two different unofficial "pirate programme" covers from the 1948 F. Charity Shield between the winners of the F.A. Cup in 1948 Manchester United and Arsenal winners of the First Division in season 1947-8. This match was played the following season in 1948-9 and Arsenal were the winners by 4-3.
Unofficial programmes or "Pirate" programmes were sold by vendors outide the grounds hoping to catch the supporters out, and may times they were the same price as the clubs official programme but the content was poor and in many cases what content there was had nothing to do with the game!, it was just the cover many times that had the link to the game you were attending. For many years this type of item was not considered collectable, but nowadays just the opposite!

I trully hope they CAN dominate the league. One bad thing is that the gunners mostly win by 1 goal, what really hurts when you check the "Goals For, Goals Againts" table!

i remember several years ago going into christmas 8 pts behind the mancs after nige and anders wound em up, we battered em and lost 8 points and still won the league. keep the faith and be patient, theres a long way left

The injuries have been horrendous and generally their confidence seems up and down, that could have been caused by the Gallas revelations earlier this season. But they are still 'in it' for sure with only Villa showing any real form, a good run would do wonders for the team and anything could happen this season, I think its going to go down to the last kick of the last game of the season this year with no one team pulling away from the pack.
