A win by East London club West Ham United over North London rivals QPR on Monday evening may have put the final nail in the coffin of manager Mark Hughes tender at the club.

It was a great win for the Hammers with newcomer Matt Jarvis and Portuguese striker Ricardo Vaz Te getting a goal apiece.

There should have been a few more goals according to Irons' manager Sam Allardyce as Carlton Cole and big striker Andy Carroll both had chances that could have been put to bed.

West Ham United, who have made a return to top flight football this season after a spell in the Npower league, are up to seventh position in the league table and are looking good.

Hammers fans are excited about the addition of Liverpool striker Andy Carroll, who is on a year long loan deal and also Yossi Benayoun, the Israeli star who is also on a year long loan from West London club Chelsea. This is a return to West Ham for Benni and last time he was there, he really made an impact on the fans which, he would love to repeat.
