UPDATE: Stump, a 10-year-old Sussex Spaniel won Best in Show at the 2009 Westminster Dog Show. Click here for a full report.

The 2009 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is set to begin on Monday.

As with any big competition, people are wondering who will come out on top. Indeed, competition at the 133rd Westminster Kennel Cub Dog Show is fierce as many of the top dogs in the world will be vying for the title of Best in Show.

This year 170 breeds and varieties will take part in the Westminster Dog Show on Feb. 9 and 10.  This year's lineup includes a new breed that has never competed before, the Dogue de Bordeau.

It's hard to say which particular dog will win, but one Vegas oddsmaker has created odds on which breed is most likely to take the title.

Here is a complete lists of 2009 Westminster Dog Show odds:

This photo was taken while I was joining my freind Tric Sellars on her daily dog walk. Tric (pronounced "Trish") is a professional dog walker and this dog is one of her daily charges.

The Sealyhams pictured are Otis and Logan. While neither are show dogs, they both come from France Bergeron (Efbe) who bred the best-in-group Sealyham Terrier and second place Westminster winner of 2008, Charmin. Actually, Charmin is Logan's full brother... The Sealy world is very small, unfortunately.

My husband and I have had Scotties (Scottish Terriers) for over 15 years. Little miss Shelby is our 3rd baby. She is 5 years old and is one of smallest Scotties I've ever seen. She loves to play and bug her sister D'Arcy, our other black Scottie. D'Arcy doesn't like to have her picture taken, she just likes to lick the camera.

This photo is taken in Sweden in the 80's. The dog in the photo is Isak, my standard poodle. He was a really cool and funny dog.

I scanned the negative and did some colour work in Potoshop CS4.
