The Washington Capitals, struggling and losers of 4 in a row and 10
of their last 12, defeated the previous 13-1 Ottawa Senators 4-1
tonight in Ottawa.   The Caps dominated puck possession the first two
periods, and unlike the article we wrote earlier today about second
period drop offs, the Caps tonight exploded in the second period,
scoring 3 of the 4 goals, including a long awaited goal from rookie
Nicklas Backstrom, his first NHL goal.
