By now you've likely heard the sad news involving Jovan Belcher of the Kansas City Chiefs. Reports from KC say that Belcher appears to have killed his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins and then killed himself at the Chiefs practice facility after speaking with the team officials.

Who was Kasandra Perkins?

There aren't too many details at this point. Deadspin seems to have unearthed the most information about Jovan Belcher and Kasandra Perkins.

They link to a Kansas City Star story which suggests Belcher and Perkins may have had a fight over a Trey Songz concert.

Perkins reportedly stayed out late following the concert only to be confronted by Belcher when she got home, a source told the paper.

The story when on to say that Perkins was a student at  Blue River Community College in Independence, Missouri. The couple had been together for three years, according to the report.
