Who Will Replace Carson Palmer as the Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback? Andy Dalton? Matt Hasselbeck? Marc Bulger?

Now that it looks like Carson Palmer has retired, who will be the new Cincinnati Bengals quarterback.

There are a few options. The first that comes to mind is rookie Andy Dalton. The second-round pick was expected to see a lot of action in training camp, but he may seeing a lot of snaps in pre-season and perhaps the regular season.

According to Bengals beat writer Joe Reedy, Mike Brown said that the Bengals are  "willing to go with Dalton as the starter but admits that there might be "some teething problems."

That being said, the team will likely look for a veteran quarterback to either start for the Bengals or mentor Dalton.

There are a few veteran free agent quarterbacks out there.

Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck might be a good fit. Marc Bulger is available as is Kerry Collins, although his problems in the past may make him a less than ideal mentor. Other names out there are Alex Smith, Charlie Frye and Chad Pennington. No, we're not even going to list that quarterback who used to play for the Packers, Jets, and Vikings.
