The weather is a little off but that is all relatvie. This is Scottsdale Arizona and a bad day here is a good day anywhere else. However there appears to be some wind that is creating a challenge for this course. Still the play seems to be all over the place.

Who got an Eagle on the first hole of the week at the FBR? The answer is Web Simpson.

If you don't know who he is, you will soon find out. Simpson, just 23, is on a roll, finishing t-9 at the Sony Open to start his season and followed that up with a t-5 at the Bob Hope.

How is Mickleson doing you say?

If you didn't already know, this is a make-or-break year for lefty Phil Mickelson.

So how did Mickelson fare on his first hole of '09? With a nasty double-bogey that makes even the leftiest of people frown.

What about the rising star, Anthony Kim?

Kim, who had to withdraw from the Bob Hope last week because of a shoulder injury, has started out the FBR at bogey-double bogey-birdie-par-double bogey.

The lesser known player who is showing up some of the "stars" is Briny Baird.
