Will Ferrell Announced the Starting Lineup During the Chicago Bulls-New Orleans Hornets Game on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Here is Video

Will Ferrell is a national treasure. In case you need convincing, check out his appearance at the Chicago Bulls-New Orleans Hornets game on Wednesday, February 8, 2011. Ferrell served as the PA announcer during the Bulls-Hornets game, doing his best impersonation of Michael Buffer as he announced the starting lineup of both teams.

First, Ferrell announced the Bulls starting lineup where he revealed interesting facts about each player.

For example:

“At center, No. 13, he’s a Scorpio and a horrible dancer, Joakim Noah”

“At guard, No. 11, he once ate 20 hot dogs in an hour, Ronnie Brewer”

“At guard, No. 1, his favorite movie is The Notebook, Derrick Rose”

Then Will Ferrell announced the Hornets starting lineup

“At forward, 6’10 from Mexico, he doesn’t speak a lick of English but we still love him, Gustavo Ayon”

“At guard, 6’3 from Georgia Tech, after basketball his dream is to become a rodeo clown, Jarrett Jack”

We don't know what Farrell was doing there, but the results were delightful. Farrell has a history of popping up at sporting events. A couple of years back, he did the Shake and Bake with Nate Robinson, then of the New York Knicks.

Then there was the time he actually pitched in a minor league baseball game under the name Billy Ray "Rojo" Johnson.
