The Miami FC has been one of the football [soccer] teams in the United States to face the wrath of a wrecked economy. Miami FC belongs to the USL League in North American Soccer and they play their games at Tropical Park in Miami, Florida.

Recently, Miami FC has been debating about its future while encouraging people to purchase their package. They have as a goal of reaching the target of 5000 or close to it in order to play one complete season. At the present time, they have sold 1,250 packages.

Recently, Miami FC held a silent auction during its Soccer A Thon Celebration. The people and institutions that have participated were Marriott Miami Airport, Red Bull, The Florida Marlins, Miami Seaquarium as well as personalities such as Fernando Fiore [Univision Sports Reporter] and Teofilo Cubillas.

For those who say that Soccer is not an American Sport, it has achieved a lot in other areas of the USA. The problem has been the economic slump that has affected many institutions. It is hoped that someone would read this article and find a way to save Miami FC before it is too late.

Miami FC is one of the few clubs that treat people like a member of the family while other teams are driven by greed. I myself would feel saddened but at least it was worth trying to save this club. If Miami FC survives, it would be a miracle.
