Dinara Safina lost her 3rd round match against Israel's Shahar Peer after an epic 3-set battle 5-7,7-6,6-8, the third longest ladies single match in Wimbledon history.

Despite a leg injury and one set down, Serbian Jelena Jankovic reached the 4th round beating the 17 years old Carolina Wozniacki from Denmark 2-6,6-4,6-2.
