The Wimbledon Championship 2012 started on June 25, 2012 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.

Djokovic began his Wimbledon campaign against Spain's Juan Carlos Ferrero, while six-times champion Roger Federer and women's world number one Maria Sharapova were also in action on the tournament's opening day on Monday.

The live scores can be seen here at 17:00 GMT onwards.

In the past 12 months, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal have dominated as they have been fighting it out between them for the four grand slam titles. Check the schedule here.

Gigaom reported, "Wimbledon.com is streaming up to five hours of live programming a day on its website and on Livestream.com/wimbledon starting every day at 7 a.m. ET.

"The stream will include “key matches, player interviews, press conferences, score updates, 'off-court' reports and behind-the-scenes access,” according to a press release sent out this week.

"Streaming will be available free of charge in the U.S., the U.K. and the Americas, excluding Brazil.

"WatchESPN is also offering live streams of Wimbledon, but access is restricted to U.S. viewers whose ISP has a contract to carry ESPN3, much like the World Cup deal two years ago

"ESPN3 live streams can be accessed on the web or through the iOS WatchESPN app for the iPhone or iPad or the WatchESPN Android app."

The last nine major titles for the men have been won either by Djokovic or Nadal. The last 28 of the past 29 major titles have been won by Djokovic, Nadal or Roger Federer. Lleyton Hewitt was the last person in 2002 other than the trio to win Wimbledon.

The championship concludes on July 8. The women's singles final will be played on July 7, 2012 and the men's singles final on July 8, 2012.
