The Wine'tastic Mile Renamed The Preak'tastic Mile for Race Day
May 15, 2013- The Wine'tastic Mile of Baltimore the 1.3 mile corridor that runs from Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Pratt Street to Harbor East ending at Central Avenue will be renamed "The Preak'tastic Mile" to honor the running of the 138th Preakness Stakes.
The Wine'tastic Mile and Preakness (Pimlico race track) are similar in length. The Wine'tastic Mile is 1.3 miles and Preakness is 1.3/16 miles. The Preakness Stakes could be ran on The Wine'tastic Mile.
Derrick E. Vaughan founder of The Wine'tastic Mile says, "the Wine'tastic Mile and the Preakness being almost the same in length shows the perfect connection that the two have to the City of Baltimore. It's one of those thing that comes together. It's just meant to be".
The Wine'tastic Mile of Baltimore was created on June 6, 2012 at 6:00 pm. This coming June 6, 2013 will be the 1st Anniversary of The Wine'tastic Mile.
