This story may make you re-think throwing out all those old dusty boxes that you find in your attic. Last year, Bernice Gallego was going through a box of antiques and came across a baseball card that she thought may be worth something. So naturally she put it up on eBay with a starting bid of $10.  After receiving several messages inquiring about the authenticity of the card she removed it from the auction.

After a little research she discovered that the card was printed in 1869 and featured the " Red Stocking B.B. Club of Cincinnati," which was the first professional baseball team and the card could possibly be the first official baseball card ever printed.  Gallego, who has never attended a baseball game had put the card back up on eBay, but with a much larger opening bid.
