Woman Steals Foul Ball from Little Kid at Cardinals-Rangers Game
At the Cardinals-Rangers Game, a grown woman was caught on video stealing a foul ball from the hands of a little girl. The video was played in slow-mo on TV broadcast of the game, if not on the stadium's Jumbotron.
The video shows the ball-stealer getting high fives from her friends as the little girl slinks back up to her seat. So uncool. The woman who stole the ball has not been named and shamed (yet), but that probably depends on how soon 4chan /b/ gets hold of the video.
(via Reddit, where one commenter wrote, "good life lesson for the child -> bigger more powerful people will fuck you over if it means acquiring material possesions".

I don't think this was a Cardinals-Rangers game as stated, as the caption from MLB Network says Minute Maid Park, which would be the Astros.

This woman shoud publicly apologize to the little girl and the nation for this, having undermined the spirit of "our national pastime". Baseball is truly our national game, enjoyed by most people all summer, and as such is the only sport exempt from Federal Anti-trust legislation. Let's get real, behavior like this from an adult to a little child should not be tolerated, this was disgraceful.

This lady is pretty awesome other than doing this, all i can say is she was too caught up in the moment to realize that it hit the little girls chest, she didnt realize what had happened.

If she's really "pretty awesome" then she will return the ball to that child. I'm sure with all this media coverage she should have no problem tracking the kid down.

Awesome? Too caught up in the moment? Didn't realize what she had done? I'm not buying it. You can clearly see her wrangling the ball away from that child. What you can also clearly see is the beaming smile on that child's face just prior to her catching it. That beaming smile disappeared very quickly. I certainly hope she IS tracked down, publicly humiliated, and that ball is given to that child. I have a name for that woman that I cannot write here, and it certainly isn't 'awesome'. Shame, shame, shame on her!

Not so sure I would trust your own estimate about what AND/OR who is 'pretty awesome, could end up with an empty bank account or worse!

You know it doesn't matter if it hit her chest or not, that was a little child versus an adult, hopefully by the time one has graduated college/about that age, HE or SHE would have enough sense to see that a souvenir like this goes to the CHILD every time should a child be somehow involved.. It's a NO BRAINER you just hand it over even if you don't want to!

It is the fact that people such as yourself, give people excuses for BAD BEHAVIOR!!!! This woman was out of line, she's an adult - for God sake and you're giving her an excuse - PULEEEEEEZ!!!!

This comment seems to imply that the poster knows this woman, and is somehow trying to defend her by saying that this isn't like her, and normally not how she acts, or something. There are waaaaayyyyy too many forums with too many people seeing this for you to do damage control, hon. I'm personally hoping that someone finds out the woman's name, and publishes it. I'd LOVE to see some actual consequences for her being such a worthless human being- even if it's as minor as having to face reporters who want a comment, and be plastered all over her local news.

Dear Big BossSince when is it okay to steal from a child? This lady is far from awesome. Please open your eyes and see what occurred. It insults the senses that you rationalize the behavior of a selfish oaf caught in the act of hurting a child. Please show some common sense and stop posting if you are going to be an idiot..or are you the person in the video "caught up in the moment" seeking some salvation.Instead of "Big Boss" maybe it should be "Ball Hog"

I am curious what those, who know this woman, will say to her when they see this. She should be ashamed and then to be "high fived" by those behind her - WTF!!!!!

Good thing that wasn't my child. I would make sure she never took anything from a child again. And who cares where the game was being played, its the way people treat each other now a days that is horrid. God help us all.

She should be ashamed of herself. Gotta give her friends the benefit of the doubt though, for returning the high-fives. It seems like she had her back to them when the theft took place and they probably didn't realize at the time that she'd taken it out of the kid's hands.
