Internationally, Australia and the USA have dominated the headlines, but now it's Canada's turn... Canadian women's water polo team is headed for the gold medal match at the FINA World Championships in Rome. On their way, Canada even defeated Hungary, which is a water polo powerhouse. Canada faces the USA for gold tomorrow (Friday, July 31)... my loyalties will be put to the test!
"It's huge for the team," said head coach Patrick Oaten. "When we're in Europe, everyone tries to tell us that water polo is a European game. And we come into the competition and everyone is talking about the Europeans, the Europeans, the Europeans and then, of course, the U.S.
